Kitchen Table Sessions

Because things get easier when you're not doing them alone. Accountability can be magical.

A quiet daily gathering to work & create with others.

Every weekday from 1-3pm ET on Zoom.

When: Monday–Friday, 1–3pm Eastern (You're welcome to come as often as you like daily, weekly, or whenever life allows.)

Where: Zoom

What to bring: Whatever you're working on...or nothing at all.

A typical Kitchen Table Session
We open with a few minutes of grounding together. Nothing elaborate, just enough to help everyone arrive and settle in. Then the time is yours. Two focused blocks of about 25 minutes each, a short break in the middle (where you can choose to chat with others or not), then two more. We then take a moment to close with an expression of gratitude, and notice the time that just happened. Then you go back to your life, hopefully a little more settled than when you arrived.

What we actually do at the Table

The time is yours for anything — "work-work", personal projects, writing, making, thinking, reading, studying, applying for a job, or doing the thing you keep putting off.  Sometimes there's nothing specific calling for your attention, and that's fine too. Sitting with the "I don't know" and seeing what surfaces is its own kind of work.

There's no pressure to perform, share, explain yourself, or justify what you're doing — or not doing. Cameras stay on, mics stay muted. You're simply present, alongside others who are doing the same.

We built this because we needed it. And we keep showing up — every single day — because we genuinely want to. There's a gentle power in being alongside others, even when it's virtual and muted! Something settles and energy shifts. Things that have felt hard start to feel possible. It's the kind of thing you have to experience to understand. And once you do, you will want everyone to feel it.

"I have a long history of struggling with prioritization, focus and accountability. Add to that my feelings of instability around the state of the world, and I've been more than scattered. The things I actually want to do (yes, work, but also habits I've been trying to cultivate, such as meditating and journaling) kept getting pushed aside. These two hours every day have quietly changed that. I show up, I open my list, and somehow things get done. I meditate. I journal. I check off my to-do list and feel energized and motivated. For the first time since I can remember, my list is significantly shorter. And I look forward to showing up every single day! That feels miraculous."

"I've been working alone for years. I've become good at it, but it's exhausting in a way that's hard to explain.  After showing up for our Kitchen Table Sessions, just knowing someone else is there – without having to explain myself or what I'm working on – has changed how I engage with work in a way I didn't expect. It feels like I now have a daily ballast in a world that has become so wobbly. There's something vitalizing about showing up in the same space, every day, alongside others who clearly feel it too."
